The 100 Best English Language Novels
Time Magazine has come up with a list of the 100 greatest novels from 1923 to the present. Don't ask me why 1923. It just is. The list is exhaustive and has pretty much every book that I'd have liked to see in such a list, not to mention a whole host of others that I have neither read or even heard about. So, if nothing else, it's an excellent to-read list. The one book I would have included would be "God of Small Things," which IMHO is a better book than Zadie Smith's "White Teeth," for instance. Can you think of any other glaring omissions on this list?
