Who's covered
(Via Graham) Petra Haden, a name previously unknown to me, has shot straight into my "people to admire" list by taking the most daring approach to a cover version of a rock album I've ever seen. She reinterprets The Who's breakthrough 1967 album "The Who Sell Out" using only her voice for everything from vocals (of course) to guitar and bass lines (wow!) to drums (what?!!). NPR recently featured her and you can listen to some samples of her work on their page.
A web search revealed this interesting blog post about the album, which is high on my seek list right now.
