Correction -- The Economist

I had indicated in a previous post that the Economist move to cut prices from Rs 120 to Rs 60 was a permanent move. Not true. The current issue is back to costing Rs 120. Apparently, the price cut was merely to move copies of its India special issue. That still remains interesting because the last time there was an India special issue, the price went up to Rs 200.

If anyone has current India subscriber numbers for the Economist, please let me know. I would love to know if the Times's move to cut the price just for the one issue actually resulted in more copies getting sold. I mean how are people to even know that the price has been cut? Regular readers obviously got that issue for a cheaper rate, but how many non-regulars even knew?
