India's incomplete liberalization
My soon-to-be co-blogger, Amit Varma of India Uncut, wrote a very nice op-ed in the Wall Street Journal yesterday titled India's far from free markets. Since the WSJ story is behind a subscription wall, Amit put up the full text of his op-ed on his blog. Certainly worth a read since it puts some perspective to the rah-rah India stories that have been appearing in the western press with amazing regularity. Like I told Amit, it's a good thing he turned his comments off, else there'd be a lot of invective he'd have to deal with from the uber-patriotic India-can-do-no-wrong crowd.
